Just wondering if it is essential or compulsory that I have my lawyer
with me when my wife and I go for the AOS interview at the INS office
in Chicago. I applied for AOS based on the fact that my wife is a US
citizen and mainly used the lawyer initially for the how and when and
where of the forms.....
Would appreciate any input on this.
Thanks a lot,
Joe.

Joe--
We are using the Philadelpia office---but we also used an attorney to
complete the forms, etc. As far as the interview goes (we just
completed our's a few months ago), there is no need for an attorney to
accompany you. I really couldn't see anything that the attorney would
be able to add. I would not waste the time or money!
