Divorced during AOS

I have a valid Advance Parole and am contemplating visiting the old continent during
the holidays. I recently got divorced from my sponsor but still haven't taken out my
application (am awaiting the final interview).
Will I be able to come back if my sponsor notifies the INS? Do I deserve due process?
I lived in the USA on H1B for 5 years and have a clean profile.
