divorce after filing I-751

Hello Everybody,
I've been married to US citizen for 2 years and have a conditional status of
residence. A month ago we have filed I-751 form to remove my conditional status
(joint petition). I received the following notification from INS: "Your Alien Card is
extended one year - employment & travel authorized. Processing your form will require
a minimum of 330 days. If you have not heard from us within 11 months, then you may
contact this office." I the meantime, we're getting a divorce (haven't filed it yet
though). Will the divorce affect the process of receiving my permanent greencard?
I will appreciate any advice from those who went through this kind of situation or
just have an idea. Thank you in advance, Maria
