Thanks for the response. I guess I will have to try to annoy them some
more, even when it doesn't work. It really sucks for me, specially
because I am on removal proceedings and nothing can be done until the
I-130 gets adjudicated. My hubby is as frustrated as I am and he will
wait a little longer but honestly I don't know for how much longer I
will be able to hold him. Bills just keep piling up because USCIS
doesn't allow me to work.

Have you had a consultation with an immigration attorney regarding working during removal procedings? If you can't afford an attorney, try looking into Catholic Charities or some other free organization that gives immigration advice and help.

I do have an attorney and she and the immigration judge (H. John Duck
from the Louisiana Court) are the ones that informed that I cannot get
an EAD. The I-130 was filed in Nebraska and transferred to the CSC.
Recently the judge asked for the I-485 documents, which have to be
filed with him directly as he is the one that will be conducting the
interview as soon as the I-130 is adjudicated. According to my
attorney, it is not normal for the judge to ask for the I-485 documents
until the I-130 is approved. he hasn't asked for this documents until
now and it has been 27 months since I have been on removal proceeding.
