Agree with Ray, you almost need a doctorate anymore unless you are a billionaire

Chris

I don't know about the time aspect - it was 7 years ago I did mine lol

They don't find you a job, at least not when I did it, but they do handle all the visa stuff for you. Even if you can't go until 08 its worth sending out feelers to companies etc you'd like to work for, explaining your situation and that you'd have a valid visa etc.

By the way where in Kent - originally from Thanet myself

With your qualification and work ethics Im sure you'd get into Canada easy.
Only easy way into the US Legally (there is illegally but lets not get into
that) is by marriage. That is IF they dont find a reason not to let you
in...

Unfortunately you are in a pickle and you seem to be straightforward
person just makes it that much harder.

When you apply for a GC in one of the Employment categories, a
university awarded bachelors degree is a must have. This translates to
16 years of education which is equal what Americans study before they
get their first degree. As you dont have this I very much doubt you
can emigrate to the US in the employment category.
You can try the others, family , agriculture or national interest
waiver. The last category requires that you invest say a million
dollars into a revenue generating business in the US. This is the
little window many of the Kenya/Uganda Patels used to establish
themselves.
Borrow from friends (they're a close knit lot) and show the required
investment funds, then they invest that in a run down motel or gas
station or a restaurant serving crappy Indian food, the GC is quick
thereafter.
If you are good looking try to fall in love with an American expat and
hook up with her, if you arent well America has many obese women too
who would more than happy to have your aquantaince. Englishmen and
their accents do it for them.
Good luck.... BTW I would imagine you'll be in demand in Australia
they give preference to people from the British Isles, you're better
off applying there.

Hmm, actually, no. EB3-Other doesn't require a bachelor degree.
But, like all other employment-based categories, it requires that nobody
suitable and willing to work in the job. That means much less chance of getting
a GC for a job that doesn't require a degree than for one that does.
