Hello all! Since my husband is from Spain and since there was no need for me to be a
resident of Spain in order to go through the direct consular filing process, we took advantage of it and decided to go this route, and we're glad we did!! Below is a little timeline of our process. Thanks a million to this newsgroup, thanks to you guys we went fully prepared for everything!!! Thanks again! 28 Jul - Wedding Day 30 Jul - I130 Filed and Approved Embassy gave us the Packet 3 31 Jul - Went back to the US Embassy and turned in Packet 3 (I took advantage of being there and had the Affidavit of Support notarized by a Consulate official so it could be nice and ready for my husband's final interview.) 2 Aug - Embassy mailed us Packet 4 along with letter stating interview date and location to go to for medical exam. 8 Aug - Medical Exam - blood work, physical, x-rays, vaccinations 10 Aug - Picked up medical results 14 Aug - Final interview. Turned in everything they requested, including medical results. Visa approved! |
Wonderful! Congratulations!
