Dallas: I-485 AOS: time delay from fingerprints to interview
Hi all
I have a question, and I'd be awfully grateful if someone could give me an opinion.
I'm in Dallas and I have an appointment to get my fingerprints taken this week. How long do you think I'll have to wait for my AOS interview?
I'm asking because my EAD expires in June '03 and I don't know whether I'm going to need to renew it.
Thanks in advance,
J

Hey!
I recently AOS'd through Dallas and for me it was only 26 days...fingerprints taken on 8/2/02, interview on 8/28/02. Are you adjusting from a K1? The reason I ask is that there are indictions that they rush the AOS from K1's through faster. Mine only took 3.5 months from filing to interview, which was WAY better than I had been expecting.
Anyway, good luck!!

Thanks for the info, Harry.
I'm actually adjusting from an H1 (although I am now married to a USC). I filed back in February and my fingerprinting is this week, so it certainly seems as if K1s are being prioritised (or H1s being neglected).
