I got an RFE in the end of November for my K-3 application, and I just noticed this - on the green cover sheet that they ask you to put on top of the documents you return, there is the MSC case number, the A# for the application, and below that there is a line that says "CUD: 02/19/04".

Anyone know what CUD is and what that date would mean?

I would assume that is the date you have to answer by because I just checked my old RFE and my CUD date was 2/5/04. I received the RFE on 11/10/03 and it said I had87 days to answer which would be exactly 2/5/04.

Hi:

By regulation an RFE must be responded to within 12 weeks. Another regulation adds three days to any response time on a notice served by mail -- so you will have 87 days to have that response get back.
