Couple of Questions about an imminent AOS interview

A friend of mine just got called for AOS interview (in NYC), and it is
in a couple of weeks. She was married here, and when she applied for her
green card (around 2 years ago), she was told to have a medical exam
then which she did.....(she didn't apply with a lawyer.)

When I had my AOS interview in 2003, my lawyer told me to have the
medical exam after I received my appointment letter to make sure it was
current (12 months.) Is she supposed to show up to her interview with a
sealed copy of a recent medical exam or have the rules changed?

Also her letter says "initial interview". Is this standard wording? I
don't remember what mine said. Anyway I told her to speak with an
immigration lawyer as soon as possible but I know I will probably find
good info here also.

Oh yeah, is 3-4 weeks short notice for an AOS interview or pretty
standard? (Mine was 2 months notice.)

If a medical is necessary, the letter usually says so. Still, it wouldn't hurt to make an inquiry to be sure.

Yes.

I had 6 days... but it all worked out fine.
