Default Continuing in London after a long delay

Dear all,

My wife, a USC, filed an I-130 for me, a UKC, in London in July 2015. For family reasons (a baby!) we had to delay our application. I submitted my DS-260 about 51 weeks after the I-130 filing (ie July 2016), and have done nothing since then. I received a warning in July 2016, saying they would terminate my application in one year.

I sent the Consulate a couple of notes over the time, apologising for the delay, saying I wanted to continue, and making it clear I wasn't abandoning the application.

We now feel ready to proceed with the move. I am going to book my medical, submit my notification of readiness for interview, etc.

Is the delay likely to cause problems? Maybe I'll have to explain it at the interview, which is fine, but am I likely to face any consequences beyond that? FWIW, my DS-260 application shows as 'completed' on the CEAC website.

Really found this forum helpful, many thanks.

Regards,
CF

Plus you have a baby as proof of your marriage and why you postponed the adjudication of the I-130.
