Consular processing:Out of status
Hello
My green card is being processed by a company who I intend to join once I get
my GC. i.e. they are sponosring for my GC as a prospective employee. My 140 got
approved and I had opted for 485 during 140 application. Now I want to file
I824 and opt for consular processing.
Now I need to go back to India due to personal reasons..probably for an year.
I was out of status for abt a 15 days during my H1 transfers. Will this pose a
problem to me during consular processing interview for immigration at chennai.
Any suggestions..please help..

Shouldn't be a problem. Anything less than six months should still allow
you to get a Green Card with no problem (incidentally, having been out of
status WOULD have interfered with an I-485).
