I already applied for the consular processing in Chennai and expecting the interview
date by Jan 2003.In Between i am planning to marry before the interview so that at
the time of interview i can file my wife documents too.My Lawyer told me that at the
time of interview in Chennai consulate i need to submit my wife documents to add her
in to my file so that i can take her to USA shortly and no need for my wife to
accompany me in the interview.After 3-4 months time my wife will receive the
interview date then after the interview she will be given immigrant visa.

Please tell me

i)Is it true that no need for my wife to accompany me for the interview in Chennai
consulate?

ii)Though i already applied for consular processing in chennai if i marry a month
before the interview can i submit my wife documents to add her in my file will she
get the visa soon? or she has to wait for the 6 or 8 years because i didn't file
her application at that time when i applied for consular processing?

Anyone who attended the interview in chennai please help me.
