I've heard the letter of emp, then I heard it doesn't. Someone told me my copies of what my lawyer sent to INS needs to be
notarized. How is that notarized? I thought they verify signatures.

D 'n C,
Read the instructions. If the instructions say something has to be notarized, then it does have to be notarized. If the instructions do not say that something has to be notarized, that's a good clue that it does not have to be notarized. Things are complicated enough as it is, don't go looking for ways to make it more difficult than INS and DOS already has.
The last time I looked, the only document that had to be notarized was the I-134 Affidavit of Support.

I am married and believe I need to use an I-864 as well as my co-sponsor (I hope that is correct), and since the I-134 is notarized
so is the 864. Yep, I analyze things until they don't make sense anymore. (and I'm not the one to be interviewed. 10 days out for my
wife and I'm a wreck) Thanks JEff.

Jeff,
I think a good lot of us have mastered the art of over analysis through this process!

The notarization process involves a Notary Public putting his/her stamp
(check expiration date on the commission), verifying your identity and
signature, etc. You can go to a bank or a lawyer and ask if they can
notarize a document. Otherwise look for a sign that says "Notary Public".
Some newsagents actually do this as well, but select ones (like those near a
court house or a licensing authority).

Hi,
All you have to notarized is that I 134 in front of any bank officer or any notory public . you do not have to notorized employment letter or bank balance letter.
My wife is also going through k3 visa process and for k3 visa you need I 134 and not I 864.
I send my wife I 134 only notorized by bank manager , non other documents need to be notorized.
