Default Conditional or Unconditional?

My wife is going to immigrant Visa interview in chennai on apr7 as CR1, spouse of US Citizen . Our second marriage anniversary is apr18th. Will she get conditional or unconditional visa? Interview is less than two weeks earlier than our second anniversary, I am not sure what visa she will be given?
Also, I remember someone telling me that she is not considered on "peremenent resident status" until she enters into US.
So if she enters US after April 18, will she get 10 unconditonal card?
Please advice...

CR-1 but if she arrives in the US after the 18th she should tell the CBP officer that the 2nd anniversary has passed and they should change it an IR-1 and she'll a 10 year GC.

c,

It will depend on when the visa application is approved, not on when the interview is.

But, as others have explained, the visa designation has little significance. What's important is the date when your wife enters the USA and becomes a Permanent Resident.

Assuming she sorts this issue out: http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=646408 the answer is just as everyone says. Even if the visa is marked CR-1 (married less than 2 years at visa issue), the border agent should admit her as IR-1 if the 2nd wedding anniversary has passed. It's up to her to point this out, and evidence it with her marriage certificate.

It won't happen automatically.
