Hi posters...its been near 2 years since my UK spouse flew over and on the 3rd trip
we got married and he remained here....though we arent officially "done" (still have
to apply for removal of condtional status) I dont miss the INS procedures at
all...though I must tell you that the Portland, Maine INS were kind, direct and
extremely helpfull with our paperwork, in the beginning we files the K-1 then went
ahead last minute and married anyhow (yes we lost our K-1 filing fee doing
it) O well! After looking through some of these posts it brings back all the memories
of the stress we started through with paperwork, seperating (going back to the UK
to renew the visa waiver) and we want to offer you all words of encouragement..
DONT GIVE UP...yes it does end and yes you can get through it. The Vermont
service Center was exremely fast (before 9-11) and now we are getting ready to
relocate to Florida and Ive read a good deal of horror stories about the Texas
Service Center which serves Florida...I hope when we submit our change of address
all goes well when we apply to remove my UK spouses condtional status (fingers
crossed). We wish you all well and feel free to email if you have any questions

Hi D and J! It's a great feeling to have it almost over isn't it? Dan and I are also
at the point where we ony need to file for removal of conditions. I only found out
just the other day that I should still be saving things with both our names on. Oh
well!! We have loads of friends to write supportive letters for us. Thank goodness!!
I am curious, what kinds of things have you been saving to send in with your
application? Our date is April 9 so we will be filing in January! Can't wait to
finally have it over with. I check the newsgroup and see there are so many couples
just beginning with the K-1 process.......we were there once.....lol Anyway, we just
celebrated our second wedding anniversary up in the White Mountains in New Hampshire.
It was wonderful! Good luck with TSC.. We will be filing with Vermont.... Dan and
Joan UK USA (we are D & J too!)
