CLAIRE23 - Any luck regarding your AOS filed in Feb of 2002?
HI, Claire. I dont know if you remember but I filed our AOS back in
Jan of 2002 and have not received anything as of yet. I remember you
filed in Feb of 2002.
Did you receive your appointment letter yet? I already inquired twice
with the Customer Service Center and I was advised that the best thing
to do is to show up at Federal Plaza and inquire in person. We might
just do that in the following weeks.

Yep, we filed in Feb of 2002.
My husband and I decided to ask for Public Advocate's office and they response after a month.
They sent me a copy of a letter from Congressional Unit with Homeland Security Dept.'s letter head that my I-485 application is in National Benefits Center for upfront processing but I don't understand why's that my application was there if I filed it 2 years ago. I thought NBC acccepts just new applications.
FWIW, atleast I know where my papers are!

Query for the AILA crew (was Re: CLAIRE23 - Any luck regarding your AOS filed in Feb of 2002?)
Hi! I'm actor Troy McClure. You may remember me from such threads as
'Re: CLAIRE23 - Any luck regarding your AOS filed in Feb of 2002?' and
'Claire23: tasty but deadly.'
>Yep, we filed in Feb of 2002.
>My husband and I decided to ask for Public Advocate's office and they
>response after a month.
>They sent me a copy of a letter from Congressional Unit with Homeland
>Security Dept.'s letter head that my I-485 application is in National
>Benefits Center for upfront processing but I don't understand why's that
>my application was there if I filed it 2 years ago. I thought NBC
>acccepts just new applications.
This certainly seems strange. What reason would there be for an AOS
filed in New York City in February 2002 to be processed at NBC?
Would Messrs. Udall or Folinskyinla care to lend a comment?
Thanks,
Marco
