Civil Documents!

Hi all! My husband has recently submitted his DS-320, and submitted all of the civil documents with it. I have just read a post on this forum about an interview experience in London, and the person says that someone at reception asked for his civil documents. Am I correct in thinking that you can submit your civil documents at the interview? We just wanted to be sure that the way we have done it, by sending them in with the DS-320, is acceptable? I know they said they'd be sent from the NVC in NH to the London embassy for my husband's interview, but he is a bit paranoid and wants to be sure! Apologies if this seems like a silly question, we just wanted a bit of reassurance. Thanks in advance! :)

It depends where the I-130 is filed. If the I-130 is filed in the USA, then NVC collects the civil documents. If the I-130 is filed directly to London, then the civil documents are brought to the interview.
