Cheap Hotel

I finally got my interview date for my K1 visa (after many phonecalls and emails!)
and it's on April Fools Day! Hopefully this won't have any bearing on the outcome! :P

I have looked through old threads for cheap hotels but I'm just wondering if anyone has attended recently who can recommend a cheap hotel close by... I really don't mind if its a glorified park bench as, at this stage in the proceedings, budget is the overwhelming factor!

yeah i have been looking on them... just thought I would ask as some of them were quite old and I thought they might have changed or gotten worse... i'll keep looking :)

I find Octopus travel really good, you can search on all stars etc.

The other way is go to google maps, type in embassy address when it comes up clear the address and type hotels it will show you everything in that area.

Someone not long ago posted about the interview and mentioned a good cheap hotel, search all the threads with K1 or CR1 interview in them.

If you want somewhere cheap don't look for somewhere close to the embassy - just somewhere that is convenient for getting there by public transport (with the underground being your best bet)

Check out the Lincoln House Hotel....I stayed there before my interview...cheap, clean and close-by! That was my only criteria and this place was perfect! They also give you a discount for paying cash......
