Default cermonal certificate

My fiancé in the Philippines tells my I'm going too have too get a cermonal
certificate too prove I'm single. Has anyone else heard of this? If so how
do I obtain it? She hasn't got her packet yet but someone told her about it.
This is the first I've heard of it.

Are you getting married in the Philippines? If you're not and you're the USC why would you need one?

Patrick, I think what you're referring to is a CENOMAR if I remember right. Try a search for that or for posts by Scott Henshaw. Only the fiance in the Phillipines has to get one I believe. Hope this helps.

Hi
it's called (certificate of no marriage) I would suggest she get it,
although the U.S Embassy in Manila will probably order there own. I
would also suggest she get a Baptismal certificate from the Church she
was Baptiste in.There has been a lot of problems over there with birth
certificates. Make sure she looks it over good,Her first, middle, and
last name are spelled correctly. Another thing, a lot of times the
Doctors doesn't always
register the baby when there suppose to causing late registration. So
have her check it out.
I run a FIil/Am forum, so i'm very familiar with whats going on at the
interviews.
