Default Case Status Service Online for K-1

Dear all,
I sent my application for the K-1 visa the 13 july 2002, I keep on
checking through the Internet site the situation but all they says is
    :
"Your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received on July 15, 2002. We
mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking
between 70 and 100 days for us to process this kind of case. We will
mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete."
I haven't received nothing yet, has anybody of you ever received this
message, if yes what did you received by mail? I am confused because I
think if it would be a negative answer they would just say it has been
rejected and if it was a positive one as well, so I think maybe there
is some problems with my application...what would you do? I can not
have any information by the phone because I am not the American person
who applied. And my fiance is working during the times they are
opened! Can you believe I am waiting for almost 6 months for this
message!!
Thank you for any answer!
Claudia

INS recently issued a new policy that no benefits are to be approved until
a response is received from the FBI or the CIA about the person. This
delays cases quite a bit, especially since the FBI has a substantial
backlog. So a delay at this point is nothing to worry about - or at least,
it is not an indication that anything is wrong.
