Can we (my fiancee and I ) just go to her country (Belarus) and get married. Then
have her go to the American Embassy and get a "wife" Visa? Then fly back together to
America? The Idea of a 6 month separation is killin' me...

No such thing as instant wife visas, even with direct consular filing. In the FSU you will still have a wait of a month or more as she will need to have a medical, police clearance, proper required documentation and a wait for an interview. Check out Doc Steen's site for DCF in the FSU
