Good evening, everyone,


Please could anyone shed any light on this for me - it is VERY urgent, and
I feel like my whole life is broken.

I would be MOST grateful for any help - if you are knowledgeable about
this kind of situation.

I have a dependent's visa, my spouse is in the US. (H-1)
Lately he's been very weird, and makes hints he does not see any
future., etc. I want to least to meet to clear it all out, one way or
the other.

QUESTION: Can he do anything that would cancel out my visa?


I have a ticket for next week, and I am petrified they will turn me around at
the point of entry -

Can he inform the INS, or State Dept that he, let's say, filed for
divorce, and this WILL cancel my current visa?

PLEASE POST HERE - if anyone at all knows the answer, you will save my
life. I have a one-way ticket, so I might be in a real mess if I get
there and face an immigration officer with awsome news.

Die, divorce, or lose his H1B status.
What happens if he doesn't want to see you?
Will you have a way to get back to Russia?

Anna,

Has he mentioned that he is going to inform INS?
I don't think he can do anything about cancelling you visa. If I were you, I would take the trip and try to clear things up.

I am not sure if he can cancel the visa but I would really think long and hard before I come to the US. If he is acting weird or has indicated that he does not want the marriage, you, the non-USC are in a very vulnerable position. What type of visa are you coming in on by the way?

He is an H1B, and she said a dependent visa, so I assume she has an H-4,
which is fairly easy for the spouse of an H1B to get.
