Default Can a K3 spouse attend school?

Hi,

I was wondering, since it will take awhile for the EAD/SSN to be issued for my husband once he's finally here, is he able to attend school say our local technical college for ESL classes or computer classes (to continue learning MS Office, etc...)?

I'm thinking that, if this is possible, not only would it help the time pass until he can work, it might also improve his job opportunities once he does.

If anyone has any ideas or experience, I'd be interested in hearing.

Cheers

In many cases Catholic services has free English classes or the University. I teach ESL at free classes once a week. It is a wonderful way to meet people and do a little something nice.

Khadija,

There is nothing about K3 status that prohibits a person from attending school.

That would be College tuition that you would be paying. You will also have to pass an English profiency test and have your records from overseas.
