Friends,

Please guide me on this.

My company Alpha is processing and sponcering my Green Card Application. EB2
category.

My company is a body shopper and places me from project to project.

I140 approved Aug 2000 Priority date Sep 1 2000.

I485 submitted Oct 2000 Notification date Nov 2 2000.

EAD Mar 2001 (valid for one year).

Now my last project was over in March 2001 and I am between projects (on bench).
Because of market conditions, though my company is still finding a project for me,
they have sent me on leave of absence and am not getting paid.

Now the question.

Since I am on leave and have a valid EAD, can I seek and do another job with another
employer? Will 485 processing, or Green card processing be affected by this?

Please guide me on this.

Thanks in advance. -Sam

Only if you leave Alpha, never to return. That could have an effect.
