Myself andf my partner applied last year for the green card lottery.
on the 29 of december lasy year we received an email from [email protected], it read You are receiving this US Federal Trade Commission alert because your email address was found in the customer database of USA Immigration Services. You will need to follow the instructions in the attached alert if you still wish to participate in the US State Department diversity visa lottery. is this a hoax????? please help if you can as im not used to using computers. many thanks, luke. |
Re: Can anyone help??
How did you apply for it? Did you fill out the proper forms online and attach your photos?
The lottery has now closed so if you didn't follow the instructions properly I doubt that you can now apply. |

No. The company you apparently used (USA Immigration Services) was a scam. They were shut down by the FTC. See http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2003/10/usais.htm It is likely that the company never sent your application out. The FTC, during their investigation, apparently checked the customer database of the company, and informed customers of this scam that they need to apply on their own. If you didn't, it is too late for DV2005 anyway (it ended on Dec. 31.) -Joe |
