I came to the US on my K1 on November 22nd. POE was Cincinnati INTL
airport and I came from Paris flying with Air France. Everything went
very smooth, in fact it took me about 40 seconds to get through
immigration. The officer only took my passport and I-94, opened the
envelope, stamped a couple of times and I didn't have to do anything
else. I didn't get an EAD, but I wasn't really expecting that.
Unfortunately I was randomly picked out later to go through
agriculture check and had to open my suitcases for inspection. Which
wasn't a problem because the lady who was doing that was pretty nice -
except for the lost time of course and I was tired after the 9 hours
flight.

We got married on November 25th here in OH - no problem there, but
we'll have a real wedding in Hawaii next week. We got the marriage
certificates the next day.
Other than that I went to the Social Security office in Piqua, OH the
other day to get me a SS Number and they were also very nice. They
said I'd get the card by mail in 6 weeks max due to the new security
check they have to do through INS now... So far so good...
