Brasil K-1 visa
It used to be that the US embassy in Brasil would issue the K-1 visa the day of the interview down in Rio de Janeiro. Does anyone know if this is still the case?
Thanks, Jason |
Re: Brasil K-1 visa
Hi Jason,
It is my understanding that the interview will take place in the morning and if the fiance will recieve the Visa, it will be returned to them in the evening on the same day. My fiance will have her interview there also, just waiting for a date from the consulate in Rio. Brad |
I had my k1 interview in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and I got my visa stamp on the same day. This was on April 2002, but I am sure that they still give the k1 visa on the same day.

Re: Brasil K-1 visa
"On the day of the interview, the beneficiary must appear in person at
the Consulate at 8:30am. The petitioner does not need to be present. Attorneys may accompany their clients to the Consulate but they will not be allowed into the visa interview room. ****The interview will take place during the morning, and if approved, the visa will be issued that same afternoon****" That's for any kind of Visa.
