Default Biometrics for second EAD ???

Hi,
I applied recently for my second EAD and AP. I recieved my NOA's quite quickly but am suprised to see me EAD NOA requesting I go have my biometrics taken again.
As far as I know my finger prints have remain unchanged since this time last year so is it really necessary to redo them?

In my application I clearly stated (with a tick !) it was my second EAD and included photocopies of my first EAD (back and front).

Is this a mistake !??

thanks,

My wife had to do hers again for her renewal. She actually just went in for the second time for this renewal. The first time, the FBI rejected them because they weren't clear enough. If you have small fingers make sure they get good prints.

nope, just that's the rules....my hubby's second EAD was the same...another biometrics appointment for photo and fingerprinting.

At least it's one of the few things that's quick and free!!

As I pointed out in an earlier thread today

"Now I know why you have to have your prints redone
The system archives them... but they are not retrievable...amazing"..
