Default Biometrics at police station?

Just something that I've read somewhere, but I can't get confirmed;

Biometrics *could* be done at a police station in your area.

On the other hand, instructions for filing say that you will be sent a notice
with instructions to go to a specific location for your biometrics.

Anyone?

Petra,

Are you asking about the biometrics associated with an I-485 application?

Actually, I'm ready to file for naturalization at the end of this month,
but I cannot tell you in which procedure I've read about this...
Sorry, but I've read so much lately....

Hi Petra,

I've never read that. I think they need to be done at one of the ASC or USCIS offices. Not sure the local police would have a clue where to send the results!

You can't just go into the Police Station and ask to be printed. Some areas do not have an ASC and therefore will send people to the local PS for the printing. You will file your N-400 along with the $70 for the fingerprinting and then will receive a notice as to when and where to go.
