Biometrics in Oakland CA

Well just back from a painless biometrics appointment in Oakland CA which is an Application Support Center. From parking to getting back to the car took about 30 minutes. Very nice lady did the prints (there were 3 people in total doing the prints so they get through them pretty quickly) and her superior checked them and gave me a receipt informing me that I would be notified by letter with an interview date.
A note for anyone using this office, there is a car park facility JUST before you come to their office, is on the junction of 20th Street, the USCIS office has a large INS sign outside, cost me a dollar, they charge $1 per hour, so very reasonable.
On the way home I checked at SS office and still no clearance on that yet, will check again on Friday![Big Grin](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Sounds good. No SS yet?
I entered on September 22, 2004, applied in early October (say 10 or 15),
and had my SSN 10 days later.. What was your POE? Mine was SFO, although
actually processed by the US customs agents at the Toronto airport. I WAS in
SAVE, and they accepted my application just like that..
I went to the Fremont SSN office..

Got my SSN on Tuesday following the SS office screwing up the original application.
I actually originally entered the US in St Louis.
