Biometrics Help

Hi Guys,

Hoping someone can give me a quick piece of advice.

Filed an I-751, recieved a Biometrics notice last week for an appointment on the 6th in Boston. This morning recieved another apppointment notice, no mention of the cancellation of the first appointment, just another appointment notice with a new date of the 11th.

Tried the 800 number, system does not recognise my reciept number so cannot get through to talk to anybody.

My question is - should I ignore the 1st appointment and go with the latest? I am worried they still have the 6th as a date in the system, and if I do not show they will abandon my case.

Should I also be worried the reciept number is not in the system yet? I only filed 3 weeks ago.

Many thanks for any help,

Matt

I'd not ignore the first appointment. More often than not, they will allow you to do the biometrics at any time as long as you have the letter showing it was scheduled at some point.

Forget the 1-800 misinformation number and don't worry about the infosystem not being updated. Doesn't mean anything.

For anyone that's interested,

Having done a little more research into this, it appears that its a computer glitch, been happening LOTS for the last 3 or 4 years.

Like Rete and Noorah have said you just go to the original (first) appointment and take both letters with you.

You must ensure, however, that the code number on the top right of the letter is the same on both appointments.
