Exactly what is "biometrics" anyway. I really have no idea what this is
and my wife wants to know too since she is the one having it done!!

Biometrics? In this case it means fingerprints.

Bio meaning life...metrics meaning measurement. Your photos are also biometric in nature as the outer ear is almost as distinctive as your fingerprints.

We just had ours, and it was a photo & fingerprint. That's it.
