Default Becoming a PR

Firstly, my apologies if there is already a thread with regard to my specific question. I have searched the forum and looked at the official USCIS handbook for PRs but cannot find anything. My question is...

When one becomes a PR do they still need a EAC? My biometrics have been done for my I-485 and I-765 petitions. I-765 was approved on December 13th 2010 and I have just received my EAC. I am awaiting AOS based on immediate relatives (daughter) petition.

Thanks for any advice.

No, you will hand it back to them after your interview, assuming you are approved.

The EAD & Advance Parole/AP/travel document are "interim benefits" for you to use for work or travel during the time your I-485 is pending. Once your PR status is approved, that status includes work and travel permission and the green card is your evidence of status.

Thanks for the info, it is much appreciated. I hope my AOS interview will be sooner rather than later,
