Bad mistake on DS-156
Hi.
I filled in a DS-156 form back in January asking for a B2, and wrote on it that I wanted to "live in the US for 1 year".
I postponed the appointment I had for other reasons, but then found out that wasn't a good thing to write!
Anyway, I've now got another appointment. I know I have to fill in the DS-160 form this time. But even if I do that right, will they see my previous DS-156 and be suspicious?

Thanks. But I didn't send in the ds-156 - just printed it out. I have it, and didn't sign it. My question is, when you fill this in is an electronic version sent into a database?

Either way, just fill out your current application form truthfully, and only bring up things when you're asked about at the interview. If you're asked about that particular statement you made on an abandoned application, you can explain that you misunderstood the question or didn't mean what it seemed to mean. Or you can simply say your plans have changed and you no longer wanted to "live" in the U.S.

Thanks. That makes sense.
My form does have a barcode, but the UK embassy site says this (couldn't find on Canberra site):
"The information that you submit is not stored anywhere. It is also not submitted to the Embassy electronically. It is only used to generate a barcode"
