I'll chuck in my vote for Progressive - we carry a high level of coverage and they beat out the others on price for us.

I've always had the most awful quotes from Geico; not sure why but they are just ludicrous compared to everyone else.

When my OH became a new driver, I had Traveler's. They allowed me to add him, with no issue. We sent in his letter showing he had a no-fault claims (or whatever that's called) from his UK company, and I don't think our policy premium changed at all.

We now have Allstate..snakes that they are...

Another vote for Progressive. When I first moved here, most insisted on 3-years US driving. Progressive didn't and were quite reasonable. My rates also went down when I added my wife!

We're with Amica now, since we're in Mass. Laws have changed and Progressive is available here now. Will switch when we come up for renewal.

Only thing that didn't impress me with Progressive was when we had a window smash due to someone breaking in. The amount they allowed for a window wouldn't allow us to get a an original Toyota one, so we had a third party one fitted. Seemed unfair that the coverage basically didn't cover a like for like replacement.

But whatever, all insurance companies are evil. Progressive seem the lesser of the evils.

We went through State Farm. $196 per month for 2 new cars (Ford Edge & VW Beetle) - they accepted us even though we did not have our Texas Drivers Licences or SSN's at the time.

Farmers.
since day 1; never had an issue, then again, never had to do a claim...knock on wood.
If you ever have an issue with an insurance company, mention something to the states' regulatory office.

www.unitrindirect.com.

All i had to do was tell them i had not had any claims in the past 5 years.
They were recommended to me my a friend in the insurance business and 5 star rated by AAA.

$500 dedductable and $250/$500 on all items. 2005 honda minivan and 2007 Infiniti G35.

Cost for 6 months $625.

This was significantly less than what my state farm agent could get me. Also the state farm agent was annoying in trying to sell me other things like life insurance etc etc.

Lucky you, out of interest I just did an online quote and they came out about $250 more expensive than Progressive currently charge me for 6 months for the same coverage on my 2 cars; and it's almost double your cost.

had similar problems with GEICO - well they priced themsleves out of the running when we were newbys so got a great deal with Allstate. Couple of years back we switched to GEICO though as they were over $100 cheaper and have been happy ever since

To be honest they did try and charge me $750 which was an increase of $20 over the last 6 months. I sent an email in saying i found a cheaper price ($650) with countrywide insurance, which i did but it was only for 100/300 coverage. They replied saying my policy was being reviewed, 2 days later i get a message and my policy cost went down over $100.
