Default Assembling Your USCIS Filings (Attn AR Club Members!)

This will come as a shock to my fellow AR Club members (you know who you are).

Effective April 2008*, ACCO fasteners are no longer required, requested or recommended. In fact, they are flat out DISallowed!

The staggering question remains: What about the Service Centers???
Our investigations continue..

Tips for Filing Petitions and Applications to the National Benefits Center

Oh yes, some of you who are filing NOW may find this of interest, too.

1.
Follow the form’s instructions carefully:

3. Take the following steps to avoid delays in processing applications or petitions through the Chicago Lockbox.

*
Do NOT send original passports or other valuable personal documents. Make sure that copies of original passports or personal documents are made on standard white letter-sized paper (8.5” x 11”)
*
Use paperclips when attaching supporting personal documents to forms (do NOT use “ACCO” fasteners; staples are acceptable when attaching fees).
*

You can still use your ACCO-like fasteners if you are an adjudicator sending a case to the BIA.

I always had an intense dislike for Acco fasteners anyway. I used paper clips and staples where appropriate! I was way ahead of the game! Yippeeee! LOL
