APRROVED!!......and pretty quickly too.
I'm now a proud owner of a K3 visa! woo hoooooooooooo!!
The story:
Strolled along from my hotel to the embassy for my 10.30 appointment. However, I failed to notice that the map made the streets look a lot bigger than they were and arrived 1 hour 30 mins early! So i went and had me an orange juice in a cafe and looked over my papers 1 last time.
I got back in line and at 10.35 our queue started to be let into the embassy.
Got in and was given my number that was to be called....I was number 13. Great. Just my luck.
After about 15 minutes of wait, i got called up to the first booth. I handed all the required docs over, gave her my photos and sat down. Total time at booth: 5-10 mins.
I sat down and waited for my number to be called again, which 10 minutes later was called to go to booth 15 for the interview.
I'll type out line by line my ENTIRE interview. I was shocked:
Employee: Hi there, how are you today?
Nick: I'm good thank you, how are you?
Employee: I'm doing just fine. Can you raise your right hand for me?
::::Nick raises left hand slightly, pauses & raises right hand::::
Employee: Do you swear that the information you give me today is true to the best of your knowledge?
Nick: Yes.
Employee: Ok I'm going to take your fingerprints, can you put your left indoex finger on the scanner for me?
Employee: OK now the right?
Employee: Well everything seems to be in order here as long as your fingerprints come back clean.
::::Nick stands patiently for about 5 seconds::::
Employee: Have a good day sir.
Nick: What? That's it?
Employee: Yep.
Nick: So....I'm approved?!
Employee: Yep, remember to hand the pink form in on the way out.
THAT WAS IT!!! ALLLLLL that worry for nothing! I wasn't even in the embassy for an hour!

You'd think it'd be easier to go from holding your right hand up to immediately getting it fingerprinted, THEN switching to the left hand, rather than holding your right hand up, putting it down, switching to the left hand for fingerprinting and then switching BACK to the right hand for fingerprinting. A bit inefficient if you ask me! LOL

Good thing holding up the wrong hand at first didn't do you in from the get-go!

Congrats, we got ours Tuesday and yesterday the visa was delivered via
courier! All that time of waiting and worrying for less than 50 mins! Yours
sounds just like ours! Good luck in moving!!
