APPROVED at long last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today.

It's been a long road -- we started in Feb of this year. We've had a lot of things go wrong including Lost in the Post, Problem with Medical, Missing Information but we hung in there and got them everything they asked for and today Pete rang and actually SPOKE to someone at the embassy. This person kindly FOUND his papers and APPROVED THEM!! Thank you, anonymous person!

Now it's up to the courier service who wants to wait until they have 5 items to deliver to his area in the North. He told them firmly that he wants it in time for Christmas -- that's why he had the interview date moved up, that's why this kind soul at the embassy did it at the last minute -- to GET THE VISA TO HIM FAST! We'll see. I don't care that much if he makes it in time for Christmas as long as he's APPROVED.

I want to send a big THANK YOU to everyone on this site who has helped me -- I don't think we would ever have gotten through this without you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Thank you. As of today he has visa in hand -- just has to attend to shipping his possessions over here and then he'll be in the USA with me. :D It was a very long wait but it will be worth it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Firstly, congratulations! You must be very pleased. I'm in a fairly similar situation to yourself and have had ups and downs over the last few months. My application was suspended until my wife proves domicile. We gathered as much evidence as we could and I sent it back with my passport on 23rd December. I'm hoping to be approved in time for a move to USA together on 14th Jan. Fingers crossed!!

Can I just ask how you managed to speak to someone at the Embassy? I have tried everything and have never had any success. They just fob me off and tell me to call the £1.20 min number. I'd be interested to know what you said or whether you had been given a better number or extension to use.
