Default Approval Stats for Recent K-3's

For those waiting to get 2nd NOA (Approval) of K-3... I did some
casual research today.

Looking at the past 8 months ONLY... (these are "casual" facts only,
or rather - "Assumptions")

Assumption 1: The average length of time from 1st NOA to 2nd NOA = 3.6
months

Assumption 2: The average length of time from 1st NOA to K-3 Visa
IN-HAND = 4.1 months

Assumption 3: The shortest time was 1.5 months (apprv'd 21 Jun) (Wendy
Owen)
2nd shortest time was 2.25 mos (apprv'd 18 Nov) (A-Lee)

Assumption 4: The longest wait was 5 mos (appv'd 13 Dec) (bba1vol)

Here is my data. Notes on my method of research are at bottom.

NOTES ON METHODS OF RESEARCH

** Only included data for those who started their K-3 process after
April 1, 2002.
** Spent 3 hours doing searches and reading on
alt.visa.us.marriage-based
** Also checked the timelines at www.marriagebasedvisas.org for K-3
** Data is scant for what happens after 2nd NOA is rec'd. So far I
cannot find more than 2 people reporting success in the last 8 months.
This leads me to conclude that the process goes farely quickly once
2nd NOA is rec'd. Also concluding that people are pretty much
pre-occupied with their mate once they are re-united and don't "need"
the list anymore, thus do not post their results.
** Data gleaned from a total of 45 cases found on alt.marriage (blah
blah) - but I am sure there are more - this is only a sampling of what
I found during my 3 hours of research.
** It should be noted that this does not include cases that were filed
after April 1, 2002, and for which no approval date could be found.
Their case May have been approved, and I missed it, or they did not
get approval yet. It would be good to take this further and get
complete TIMELINES from the people listed below so that we can also
add a statistic for the percentage of applicants that still have not
received approval and break it out into groups waiting 3 - 5 months,
and 6 - 8 months.

(Here are the names of the other cases for which I did not find
approval or start dates yet. My apologies to anyone I may have missed!

True, It did take us a long time to get our first NOA. The date
printed on the NOA as the date they rec'd it was not long, only the
date that I rec'd the NOA in the mail. I was REALLY WORRIED. Also, I
knew I had to get the K-3 in the mail immediately once I rec'd the
I-130 NOA... yet it wasn't coming forever.

I had tried calling, but without the case number that you get on that
1st NOA, it is impossible to find out anything. I had called my
congress-people and they said they could do nothing for me until 90
days had passed or something like that.

Default Strange message from MSC, help me!~!

Hello, all!!
Yesterday I called Missouri Service Center and I knew the message changed.

It is like as follows;
"On Jan 04, 2003 We mailed notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case.
The notice explained detail what additional material is needed.............."

The problem is my husband moved to different apartmeant Jan 06, 2003 and he afraid missed it.
And he called INS but they don't have any idea.

I feel a little nervous.

We received NOA 1 from MSC : Oct 04, 2003
waited NOA 2 almost 100 days.

Anybody knows about this??
Help me!!
-Sunny, Korea-

Sep 18 - First NOA date for I-129F
Dec 12 - 2nd NOA date for I-129F (approval)
Dec 26 - date of letter from NVC

Jan 8 - still waiting.... Montreal (wrong consulate) still says as of today they have not received the file from NVC which will then have to be forwarded to Vancouver since it was sent to Montreal in error
