Applying for B1/B2 while K1 process is submitted

Applying for B1/B2 while K1 process is submitted
Hi All,
Bit of an unusual one, my fiancée is preparing to submit the I-129F petition to begin our K1 process. A few years ago I was denied entry into the US (nothing sinister, just work sent me for something that the ESTA didn't cover) so now I have to get a B1/B2 each year to go back on business or personal trips. My B1/B2 just expired, so I'm about to fill in form and book an appointment for the new one for another 12 months. Should I wait until Visa is in my passport and returned to me before my fiancee submits the I-129F, or do you think the two are completely separate and won't conflict. Keen to start the K1 process ASAP, but also don't want to be in a position where I then can't travel for business or personal so will prioritise that first.
Any help appreciated

I would apply for the B first.

Luckily got an interview slot next week for B1, so should have it sorted before we submit anyway. Thanks everyone.
