Hi everyone,
In 2001, I applied to immigrate to Canada in the independent category. So far, I have received only a File No., the file review is not yet done.
Recently, I secured admission for Fall 2003 in a University in New York for my MBA.
The questions I would like to ask you are:
1) While applying for a US student visa, I am quite sure I will be rejected if I tell the American visa officer that I already have a Canadian immigration case pending.
If I do not volunteer the info (that I have a Canadian immigration application pending), IS THERE ANY WAY that the American visa officer can find out by himself? meaning, are the US & Canadian computer databases linked???
2) If they are not yet linked, are there any reasons to expect them to be linked by the end of the year?
Thanks...
