Default AP/visa - travel question

We've submitted our 485,131,765 for GC,etc. My wife and I have gotten our EAD/AP cards. Our children have not gotten their AP yet, still in initial process. We all have valid L1/L2 visas, which won't expire for over a year.

Does the EAD/AP card invalidate my L1 visa, or can our kids still travel abroad on their L2s ?

Merely having the EAD doesn't, but if you have used the card for employment that wasn't authorized by the L1 or no longer work for the L1 employer then you no longer qualify as an L1, and the family no longer qualifies to enter as L2.

Thanks, it was what I assumed but good to get a second opinion, even if it's of the internet variety. I'm still in my same original position, doing the same tasks, so the L1 is still golden.

BTW, if authorized, return on the L visa is much preferred to use of the advance parole.
