mail! Although Orlando now intends to FWD AP's to MO. But in any case, the paper version will save you a biometrics appointment for a photo.

E - I *still* have seen (a few here, some on other boards) people E filing and finding frustration with the process. Not sure what percentage of people are happy with it and what percentage not ... or if it has to do with their location.

We somewhat recently filed EAD and AP renewal. August 26th to be exact, is when USCIS says they got it.

We got online notification last week that it was approved and on it's way in the mail. I called the 800 mis information line to query on the EAD and they said that too, would soon be approved. Though I usually wouldn't believe them if they told me fire is hot, in this case I do - last year, the same sequence happened. AP approved first, then the EAD a couple weeks later.

Anyway what my rambling is trying to say is that, with *my* experience, my vote is for paper filing. Seems redundant to me to "e File" then have to turn around and resend in additonal stuff via mail.

Best of luck!

I have to read those instrcutions more thoroughly. I just saw that you have to submit 2 pictures, but they describe the old format. Should I just send the new format ?

I agree about mailing the application. Why E-file and still have to mail
the pictures.
My guess, and it is just a guess, is that you should send the new style
(passport) pictures, but others might know better.
We filed in March (26th NOA) with the old style and that is what is on
my wife's AP and EAD (received in the mail on the 20th and 22nd). It
only took a few days short of 7 months!!!

Just to make sure I send everything needed:
- 2 photos (new format - passport photo)
- 1 copy of picture ID
- letter stating the reason for traveling
- proof of eligibility - I-485 pending

Am I right ? Is that it ?

Thanks a lot

Plus, of course, Form I-131 itself.
