Default AOS... Wher to apply?

Well, I've just sent all the paperwork for AOS, EAD and AP to Texas Service Center! I live in Florida! Now I wonder if I should have sent them ito TSC or in Jacksonville (the closest INS office)!!! Can anyone clarify, please?

Did you read the instructions for I-485? What about the other forms?
You generally file the whole package at the local office, unless you
live in the Baltimore District.

http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-485.htm

Special Instruction:
The I-485 in this case may be filed at the same time as the visa
petition (I-130) which is filed by the U.S. citizen or lawful permanent
resident. See your local office "About Us" page for any special local
instructions including any local forms needed to apply for permanent
residence.

Where to File:
Your local USCIS Office (except if you are in the Baltimore District -
then file at the Vermont Service Center.) NOTE: Some offices accept Form
I-485 only by mail. Please check with your local USCIS Office for local
filing procedures.

I also sent everything to Texas! It was returned to me a week later,
with a cover letter. I sent it directly to Orlando which serves me
county. I have heard nothing at all from them.
I made an appointment on line to go to the Orlando office on Monday
(March 29th) to ask who, when and where.
Also I sent checks to Texas. They were returned to me. I sent them to
Orlando, but the Orlando we site says they don't take checks!! I'll try
to add more details Monday afternoon.

You should call the 800 -375-5283, to know where to file it is base on your zip code they will tell you where to file. I called them to ask if I can file at Los Angeles because its just close to our city but according to them based on my zip code I have to file at Fresno California. They have control on the place of filing. If we can only choose we will file at the closest to us.
