AOS Received Date
Hi, I am new to this group and am trying to find an answer to the following
question.
My wife (US citizen) and I filed for AOS in NYC on August 6, 2003 (date on
the yellow receipt slip).
Now, as with almost all applications filed in NYC over the last few months,
ours was forwarded for processing to MSC in October. The NOA's I received
from MSC have a Notice Date of October 14, 2003 and a Received Date of
August 6, 2003. When I looked up the status of my EAD application online it
says that it was received at this office (MSC) on October 14, 2003 and that
it takes between 30 and 90 days to process the I-765.
From which date do I start counting the 90 day period? Counting from NYC's
received date I am already on day 96. Using the MSC received date I am
barely on day 30. I got the fingerprinting and biometrics, for EAD as well
as I-485, done on November 4. Does anybody have any idea to when I can
expect a decision on my I-765?
