AOS questions

Just a rather simple question that I hope I can get an answer to....
On the I-485 form, it lists the filing info as "your local INS
District Office". Being in Rhode Island, our district office is
Boston; however, there is a sub-office in Providence. The INS page
listing filing procedures for Boston says, "The Boston District Office
services the state of Massachusetts,", lists the Providence office as
handling Rhode Island, and that for walk-ins, a "Massachusetts
identification" is required. The Rhode Island sub-office page doesn't
give any info the procedures for filing for an AOS there. Any idea if
we go to the Boston or Providence office?

Since the Rhode Island page talks about filing EADs (including first time
ones) I would have to go with the assumption that you can file the whole
package there in person. The AOS experiences page doesn't list Rhode Island
but I know you will send in your experience so they'll be at least one entry
for the future!:

You could also check at www.deja.com/usenet
and see if someone else has
posted about RI before.
