AOS Questions

Re: AOS Questions
Tried searching for an answer on this but couldn't find one.
Had my medical for my K1 October 3rd 2016. If our AOS interview is scheduled after this date, will I have to redo my medical?

Re: AOS Questions
Apologies if this is fairly obvious but I thought I'd ask:
Me and my wife are returning to the UK on December 21st til December 30th for a holiday/"vacation".
I have my AP (it's the paper document, not the combo card with my EAD). Do I need to do/obtain anything else before leaving? Such as a stamp in my passport from an InfoPass appointment?
I was planning on taking my NOA from my I-485 and my NOA for my AP (and obviously my AP document!).

Re: AOS Questions
Nothing else is needed as long as the AP is valid on the date of your return.
Have a safe trip and a lovely holiday.

Re: AOS Questions
I travelled multiple times with AP this year and never had any problems (I did have a combo card but I don't see any problems with a paper copy) You'll have to go to secondary inspection but it's very straightforward and you'll get a 'Paroled' stamp in your passport.
If you are traveling through Denver it'll probably be very quick, certainly was for me each time. Was done and out before my bags every time and never asked for anything other than my passport and the combo card.

We nearly booked our flights from NYC to London but I really didn't want to have to go through secondary processing at JFK again which is where I entered when I arrived on my K1!

Re: AOS Questions
I've traveled with a paper AP, no problem at all, came through Washington DC, as has been said, you'll have to go through secondary inspection but as long as it's a bigger airport it just doesn't seem to be a problem. Some of the smaller airports don't seem to know what it is!

Re: AOS Questions
Thanks all.
We were really hoping we'd have my green card before Christmas but it isn't looking likely. We're now realistically expecting to hear something in the new year.

Re: AOS Questions
FWIW I recently traveled back to the UK with my EAD/AP card and was let back in fine. The process itself was straightforward, I was escorted from the passport desk to secondary (my wife was advised to go collect our bags), they checked through my documents for about 20 mins and then I was free to go with a "Paroled" stamp in my passport.
