Hi,
A few qtns I hope the ng can help with![Smile](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I am going through NJ Newark office. Got married Sept 2003, filed in Oct
2003, and yesterday received an AOS interview date for May 10th 2004. (all
in under half a year, am i dreaming?!)
In the letter they asked me to bring:
1) interview letter, passport, I-94
2) medical exam results, form I-693. Appear even if not completed
3) A current letter of employment
4) a current letter of employment for you and/or your spouse showing rate if
pay and hours per week
5) evidence of a common residence and shared life (include photos)
The letter also included the medical form i-693.
Qtn 1: I did my overseas medical one year ago, in late april and completed
my vaccins in late may. I've read 3 conflicting reports:
a) that you DO NOT need to do another K1 no matter if it's more than a year
ago or not.
b) that if the AOS was FILED under 1 year after overseas medical, you DO NOT
need to do another
c) that if overseas medical was 1 year old at AOS interview, no matter when
you filed, you NEED TO do another medical here.
So, in your honest opinion, do you think I should go for it? I'll really
want to save the $200 bucks if i can![Sad](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/sad.gif)
Qtn 2: I got my EAD almost 3 months ago, but have not been able to find a
job yet. My husband earns just above the poverty line, and we had submitted
another affidavit of support from his father when we filed last year, just
in case. My worry is they are gonna be asking us horrid qtns about how we
get by and all? We get by fine, just been tough. Is this a valid concern I
have, or am i just going crazy cos of USCIS? Also, should we complete
another affidavit from both him and his dad just in case? It is a new tax
year afterall...
Qtn 3: We have not much evidence of a shared life. we only have one joint
bank account statements addressed to both him and me, but nothing else. No
utility bills, no insurance, deeds, lease, nothing. We have wedding
pictures from the civil ceremony, but that's all. Is this going to be a
problem? Should I prepare myself to move back to where I came from?
Sorry for the long post and qtns. I hope somebody can give me advice!
