Default AOS pending and moving to another state

Dear All,

Five months ago my husband and I filed the AOS paperwork at the
Charlotte office in North Carolina. We are expecting an interview
date sometime next year (probably in the first quarter).

In the New Year we are planning to move to the Pacific Northwest.
For economic reasons I will go on ahead and look for work whilst my
husband will remain working here. When I secure appropriate
employment there he will join me and look for a new job for himself.
In the meantime he will reside with family. For the period when we
are apart we will effectively have two homes, both of them different
to the current one.

Which new address do we give the INS? Would it be acceptable to give
his family home as our address whilst we are in transition? This
would be less complicated since the case would remain in North
Carolina. Or would it need to be the new apartment in Oregon?

TIA
