AOS NOAs
Hi,
Could anyone offer advice on these issues?
I applied for AOS (and EAD+AP) in NYC on November 12, and on November
25 I received two NOA I-797C -- one for the EAD and another for the
AP. However, id didn't get a NOA on the I-485 itself!
1. Is this unusual?
2. If so, what's likely to happen and who can I contact to ask about
it?
3. Should I go ahead and set up the biometrics appointment as
instructed on the EAD NOA?
4. If it turns out that there was something wrong with a part of my
application, will they continue processing my EAD and AP, or is
everything put on hold until I mail them whatever they ask for?
5. When I try to check the status of the two cases for which I have
NOAs, the USCIS web site does not recognize the recipt number I enter.
The instructions on the page say that the 13 char number starts with
EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC, but mine starts with MSC. What's going on?
Thanks for your help!
:-)

Our EAD also had an MSC receipt number (because it went to the National Benefits Center for processing). It also took a while for the online case status search to recognize our receipt number... I'd wait another week or so and keep trying to enter it.
